Dr. James Wilder

Associational Mission Strategist

Brother James grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he came to faith at Woodland Acres Baptist Church at the age of six. Raised in a family deeply rooted in church and missions, he felt called to ministry as a teenager at Falls Creek and confirmed his call to the pastorate during his time at Oklahoma Baptist University.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from OBU, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from B.H. Carroll Theological Institute. Since his ordination in 2000, James has served faithfully in multiple ministry roles—including minister of education, student minister, associate pastor, and senior pastor—in both Oklahoma and Texas.

He is also a commissioned Civil Air Patrol Chaplain through the North American Mission Board and actively supports missions both locally and internationally. James currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Oklahoma Baptist University and contributes to the University Advancement Team and Alumni Board.

He and his wife, Deanna—his childhood friend and ministry partner since college—have been married since 1997 and are proud parents to two sons, J. Shelton and Walker.

Jenna Bryant

Administrative Assistant

Jenna Bryant joined the PLBA team in 2025 and serves faithfully as the Administrative Assistant. She brings warmth, organization, and a heart for ministry to her role each day.

She and her husband, Clint—pastor of First Baptist Church in Tecumseh—recently celebrated 21 years of marriage. They are proud parents to Jake, a firefighter, and his wife Danielle, a current OBU student. Their youngest son, Tyler, is also attending Oklahoma Baptist University.

In her free time, Jenna enjoys serving in ministry alongside Clint, cheering on OU softball, hosting family game nights, and playing with their energetic puppy, Dax.

Tanya Brunton

Print Shop/Media Resource Manager

Tanya Bruton has served as PLBA’s Printshop and Media Manager since 2013. With a creative eye and a heart to serve, she loves helping churches with everything from bulletin designs to custom flyers and media needs.

She lives in Meeker, Oklahoma, with her husband, Jeff. Tanya is a proud mom to five children—McKenzie (and husband Kevin), Micah, Madison (and husband Cade), Alex, and Austin—and a joyful grandmother to three: Henry, Emilia, and Daniel.

In her spare time, Tanya enjoys scrapbooking, crafting, and baking, always finding ways to create and bless others through her creativity.
